5'4" Baldwin R Grand #57044
Dark walnut, built in 1926, reconditioned by Ray's Piano Service in 2003, and refinished by Ray's Piano Service in 2010. Elegant "Queen Anne" style. A very heavy piano for its size, with a deep, rich tone.
IMPROVEMENTS COMPLETED:
Rebuild—Repair soundboard, refinish soundboard & bridges, refinish plate, restring and repin.
Recondition action—Complete cleaning, install new hammers, tighten action screws, replace defective parts.
Regulate & Tune—All adjustments to ensure that piano plays like new, tune to A-440.
Refinish—Dismantle, strip, repair veneer, sand, apply stain & filler, apply sealer, apply lacquer, reassemble.

5'6" Baldwin E Grand #60792
Mahogany veneer with dark walnut lacquer. Built in 1928. Reconditioned and refinished by Ray's Piano Service in 2008.
IMPROVEMENTS COMPLETED:
Rebuild—Dismantle. Remove pins and strings. Repair and refinish soundboard and bridges. Install new pinblock. Restring & Repin.
Recondition action—Tighten all action screws. Repair or replace worn and defective action parts as agreed with owner.
Complete Regulation—All adjustments to ensure that piano plays like new, tune to A-440.
Refinish—Strip, repair, sand wood surfaces as needed. Apply grain filler, sealer, stain, lacquer. Install new fallboard decal. Reassemble.
5'6" Baldwin G Grand #61558
Built in 1929. Reconditioned & partially refinished by Ray's Piano Service in August 2004, and sold to buyer in Mt. Vernon, WA. A solid piano, with a deep, rich tone.
IMPROVEMENTS COMPLETED:
Recondition—Clean, install new bass strings & pins, reshape hammers, tighten all screws, replace defective parts. Recondition lyre.
Complete Regulation—Install new underkey punchings, all regulation adjustments to ensure that piano plays like new, tune to A-440.
Partial Refinishing--Dismantle & strip cabinet, wood repairs as needed, deliver, reassemble after owner has refinished the cabinet and wood parts, clean & polish all brass parts.
6'4" Baldwin L Grand #72407
Brown Mahogany, Built in 1934, Rebuilt by Ray's Piano Service, Fall 2002. Sold to buyer in Livermore, CA.

Recondition action—Complete cleaning, install new hammers & knuckles, tighten action screws, replace defective parts.
Regulate—All adjustments to ensure that piano plays like new, tune to A-440.

Mahogany veneer with dark walnut lacquer. Built in 1936. Rebuilt & Refinished by Ray's Piano Service in 2009, on contract with owner in Kirkland, WA.

Rebuild—Dismantle. Remove pins and strings. Repair and refinish soundboard and bridges. Install new pinblock. Restring & Repin.
Recondition action—Tighten all action screws. Repair or replace worn and defective action parts as agreed with owner.
Complete Regulation—Install new damper felts. All adjustments to ensure that piano plays like new, tune to A-440, tune.
Refinish (on sub-contract by a furniture refinisher in Bellingham, WA)—Strip, repair, sand, refinish all wood surfaces semi-gloss black. Install new side rim decal. Reassemble.
41" Baldwin Howard Studio #971871
Built in 1966 by the Baldwin Piano Company, Cincinnati, OH. Reconditioned in 2011.
EVALUATION REPORT:
I - Soundboard, Bridges, Strings, Pins, Pinblock—Soundboard & Bridges in good condition. Pins are tight, will hold pitch. Strings in good condition: has a deep, rich tone considering its size.
II - Action, Back Action & Dampers, Keys & Keyframe, Regulation, Tuning--Action in good condition. Regulated and tuned by Ray's Piano Service.
III - Cabinet, Pedal Mechanisms, Casters, Accessories--Solid cabinet. A few marks on the edges, but looks "like new."
6'3" Baldwin Grand Model L #228848 (1979)
A solid, reliable, mid-size piano, ideal for home or music studio. Current owner is a music teacher who needs to downsize for health reasons. This piano has been regularly serviced and tuned since 1998 by Ray Klapwyk, RPT. In 1999 we reconditioned the action (tightened screws, reshaped hammers, replaced defective parts), and conducted a complete regulation using new underkey punchings. Sold on 4/29/11 to the family of a serious music student in Mount Vernon, WA. Prior to delivery, we installed new hammers and shanks, conducted a complete regulation, and tuned.
5'2" Baldwin Grand MODEL "M" #89106
Built in 1940 by Baldwin Piano Manufacturing Co., Cincinnati, OH. Reconditioned by Ray's Piano Service in 2011. A solid piano when new, has great tone for its size. Will give many more years of musical enjoyment!

Clean interior. Remove action and bass dampers. Replace original bass strings and pins. Restring and repin top treble.

6'3" Baldwin Grand MODEL "L" #228848 (1979)

7' Baldwin Grand SF-10 #354040 (1998)
Ebony polish case. Reconditioned by Ray's Piano Service in November-December, 2015 for the owner in Nevis, MN, to address the problem of very bright, piercing tone. The owner seeks a more mellow, pleasing musical tone.
IMPROVEMENTS:
Complete Cleaning--Clean strings, pressure bar, keybed, keypins, pedal mechanisms.
Recondition Action—Install new Abel hammers and new shanks & flanges. Tighten all action screws and replace defective parts.
Complete Regulation, Tuning, Voicing—All adjustments to ensure that piano plays like new, tune to A-440, voicing as needed.
